Welcome to the Beara West Family Resource Centre
The Beara West Family Resource Centre is funded by TUSLA (The Child & Family Agency). A local Board of Management is in place to oversee the day to day running of the project.
We promote and facilitate identified needs, which will lead to the wellbeing of our community. We will be working closely with people in the community to identify needs and support initiatives in each of the areas. At Beara West Family Resource Centre, we aim to assist individuals to reach their potential.
The Project Co Ordinator, Claire Dickinson works with the Board to implement the workplan and work towards the overall development and sustainability of the project. The geographical area covered is Rossmackowen, Castletownbere, Bere Island, Eyeries, Urhan, Allihies, Garnish and Cahermore – all areas west on the Beara Peninsula.
The FRC links with and works in collaboration with local and national agencies to share information, act as a referral point and to promote wellbeing within the community of Beara West.
Post Pandemic Update
The Centre is currently open to the public and we welcome you to visit. Depending on your query or support needs, and the availability of our team, we may arrange an appointment with you for a later date.
